How unprofessional DHL is.

I think it was march where I ordered some swag from Thinkgeek, which I recieved. A month after Thinkgeek accidentially sends another package with the same content, I tell DHL to send it back, because I did not order it. Case closed I thought. But no – for some reason DHL sends me a bill 5 months later telling I have to pay import fee and taxes for the package from Thinkgeek, that I did not recieve. I do not pay it and write DHL telling this is a mistake. They do not reply and I write another one – a couple of weeks passes and I get a reply saying that they recieved my mail and will stop sending more reminders. Fine I think. But no another reminder appears in my mailbox. I finally call them even though their answeringmachine is telling not to call about bills and such. I get a nice lady telling me that it seems to be some mistake this, and she credits me for the amount I was supposed to pay and do not have to anymore. A couple of weeks I recieve a letter confirming this. Once again, I think case closed.

But no! Now today I recieve a letter from their lawyer. Writing that DHL have not got their money yet, and he wants me to pay the fee that I owe them within 10 days. Otherwise I get sued and all the expenses will be on my ass.

I dont know but this somehow tells me that there is a serious lack of communication in that company, because they are pretty good to make mistakes. I just wanted to share and I warn you. If you ever encounter something simillar, be aware that this could happen to you too.

UPDATE:

I called DHL’s customers service and they told me after I got redirected 3 times in a circle that they had made another mistake. And that they will call me on monday and blow off the lawyer and that I should not think about the letter I got.

UPDATE 2:

I got a mail from DHL with my email to the lawyer and a confirmation of that I don’t have to pay anything to anyone. What a relieve. Though I just sent an email back asking for a piece of paper saying this, cause I still do not trust them.
